On Saturday 28th May 2022, youths all around Lagos gathered at the for a free Digital Skills Training Workshop hosted by StartWeb Africa.
The event was in collaboration with HRM Abisogun II Foundation (Iru Kingdom). The digital training event took place at the Oniru Place, Lekki Lagos.
The event was aimed at teaching youths and SMEs digital skills/tools in Lagos.
It was a one-day workshop focused on personal branding and digital marketing tips for brands and businesses, and how to set up a professional website without coding.

To kick start the event, Emeka Ebeniro, Chief Growth Officer KARAKURI guided participants on Personal and Business Branding. Ebeniro also highlighted the need for SMEs to embrace digital marketing to push their brand.
Olamide Egbayelo, digital marketing lead for HEXAL PLACE talked on how to push your business on social media.
She explained that selling online has moved from the stage of persuading people to buy what you are selling. She advised participants to sell value, and ensure their social media presence speaks value.
To add spice to the event, Chiamaka Friday, the product manager of Startweb Africa taught participants how to build a free webste from scratch.
Participants received a certificate of attendance at the end of the event.
