“Superstory”- Dj Cuppy Breaks Silence On Controversy With Zlatan Ibile

Florence Otedola aka Dj Cuppy has taken to Twitter to respond to the news going around that she played Zlatan Ibile foul after he collaborated on her 2019 hit song “Gelato”.

The “Jollof on the jet” singer was quick to describe the allegations as “Superstory” after which she tweeted about responding with kindness.

Early January, Cuppy revealed that Zlatan Ibile blocked her on both Instagram and Whatsapp for the past 10 months. 

In a recent interview with Soundcity, Zlatan denied knowing Dj Cuppy. When asked about their relationship, the “Lagos Anthem” rapper shocked many by saying he didn’t know who Cuppy was.

“Is that an artist?” he said. When asked if he doesn’t know Cuppy, the rapper responded by saying ”I don’t know her.” 

Zlatan’s statement came out as a surprise to music lovers as their friendship made the news in 2019, with the duo travelling around Nigeria to promote the song “Gelato”.

On Friday, 29th January, Isreal DMW, logistics manager of DMW boss Davido, took to Instagram to reveal what may have transpired between Zlatan and Cuppy. First, he stated that Cuppy did not pay Zlatan for their collaboration. He also revealed that she didn’t cater to Zlatan’s welfare when they travelled to Abuja for her 2019 fundraising.
