Tesla is increasing the prices of its cars once again and this time, one of the affected models could see an increment of $6,000. This represents a change in strategy and how far the company has come.
When Tesla first started selling cars, it was bringing two things to the table: an environment friendly means of transportation and an affordable option. In fact, just three years ago, the company was cutting the price off its Model 3 to encourage more people to buy it and make its cars more mainstream.
In its latest price increment, the Model X Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive went from $114,990 to $120,990 and the Model S Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive saw its price go from $99,990 to $104,990.

The price for the Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive remains the same but the Long Range configuration went up by $2,500 from $54,490 to $57,990. Even the Performance version of the Model Y is going up by $2,000 from $67,990 to $69,990 and its Long Range configuration is increasing by $3,000 from $62,990 to $65,990.
Just three months ago, in March 2022, the car company also increase the pricing of its cars, with some going up by nearly 10 per cent. And before that, a week earlier, it had also increased some prices as well.
According to Elon Musk earlier Tweets, it seems that Tesla is still battling increased cost of raw materials and the global chip shortage as well as inflation. However, the company did not say anything on these specific increments.
