Elon Musk’s Tesla has begun offering a monthly subscription for its full self-driving package for $199 a month.
This was reported by Electrek, this feature is only available for those who bought the now discounted Enhanced Autopilot package.
The Full self-driving package sold by Tesla sells for a one-time fee of $10,000.
Full self-driving features include Autopark, summon, Auto lane change, Navigate on Autopilot, Traffic Light, and Stop Sign Control.
The subscription enables non-full self-driving tesla users to test the feature without commitment. If they like the feature they can upgrade entirely for $10,000.
Last week, Tesla released the Full self-driving Beta version 9 OTA update to selected Tesla owners.
On Friday, the company pushed a software update for its mobile app, including a new “subscription” option to its “upgrade tab” in the mobile app.

Tesla explained the new product in a message sent to its car owners named
“Introducing Full Self-Driving capability Subscription”:
Full Self-Driving capability is now available as a monthly subscription.
Upgrade your Model 3, VIN ending in ******, for $199 a month (excluding taxes) to experience features like Navigate on Autopilot, Auto Lane Change, Auto Park, Summon and Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control.
The currently enabled features require active driver supervision and do not make the vehicle autonomous.
For car owners with an enhanced Autopilot package, will be charged a reduced $99 monthly for full self-driving capability.
While those with the basic Autopilot package, $199 a month.
If they have Hardware 3 computer, else they will pay an additional $1,500 one-time fee for the upgrade.
The terms on the Tesla website say car owners can cancel their monthly Full Self Driving subscription at any time.
