Tesla’s Cybertruck production has been delayed further to 2022, the electric company’s first pickup truck won’t be around anytime soon. Electric car page Electrek, saw the new changes right under the “due today” section of the Pickup order page.
The page reads “You will be able to complete your configuration as production nears in 2022”.
Well, this is might be as a result of their production factories making the tesla model 3 and Y at full capacity. Leaving almost zero room for Cybertruck production. The original plan for the electric pickup production was towards the end of 2021.
Elon Musk in Tesla’s fourth-quarter earnings call said “few deliveries of the Cybertruck toward the end of this year, but I expect volume production to be in 2022.”
The Cybertrucks available in the nearest time seem to be the single, dual, and tri-motor versions of the electric pickup.

Elon Musk said the Tesla Cybertruck could flop when it eventually goes on sale, this is because of its weird design and size.
The truck is going up against GM’s Hummer EV and the popular F-150 pickup which is a country favorite.
Musk responded to an inquiry from Tesla Owners Online about the Cybertruck on Twitter, predicting the Cybertruck will be “a huge hit.” Later on, he says
“To be frank, there is always some chance that Cybertruck will flop because it is so unlike anything else.”
He waved off the remark with even if it fails it won’t hurt him, saying “I love it so much even if others don’t.”
He said further“other trucks look like copies of the same thing … Cybertruck looks like it was made by aliens from the future.”
The Cybertruck will be manufactured in the Austin plant, Texas currently ongoing construction; and delivered by the end of the year.
