Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk believes the Roadster would ship in 2023, but that is “assuming it’s not mega drama” he said. The billionaire made the announcement via a tweet on Wednesday. Known for his regular social media presence, Musk announces most of his company news via Twitter.
He believes if the ongoing supply chain storages disappear, the roadster production should happen next year. Also, there’s the possibility of a continued global chip shortage, which might affect the speedy car production.
“2021 has been the year of super crazy supply chain shortages, so it wouldn’t matter if we had 17 new products, as none would ship,” Musk said.
The Tesla Roadster is the company’s most premium electric car offering, with enthusiasts making a high $50,000 and $250,000 deposits for the base and Founders edition. This is as far back as November 2017, when the Supercar was announced.

Elon Musk recently during Tesla’s AI day unveiled a Humanoid robot, the company will be releasing a prototype by 2022. The event which happened on Thursday,19th August was based on Artificial intelligence, FSD and next-gen innovation.
For the Artificial intelligence part, Musk awkwardly introduced a human dressed to look like the proposed Humanoid Robot. “Obviously that was not real,” Musk said to his audience.
The Human in the spandex suit is the exact replica of the Humanoid Robot. Measuring 5 foot 8 inches, weighing 125 pounds with a sci-fi display on its head “for useful information”.
Elon Musk claims the “Bot” will be able to “eliminate dangerous, repetitive, boring tasks,”.
“It kind of makes sense to put that onto a humanoid form.” “We’re also quite good at sensors and batteries and actuators so we think we’ll probably have a prototype sometime next year that basically looks like this.” The Tesla CEO said.
The electric-only production company Tesla has a lot going, ranging from renewables, Battery packs, cars, trucks, vans. Investing heavily in putting up factories for its Model 3 and Y car production, it managed to survive the global chip storage.
Originally supposed to begin production in 2020, Will its enthusiasts be able to get their roadsters in 2023? Musk has a notorious habit of vaguely promising dates that do not fulfil, maybe this time his prediction is right.
