Top RnB musician Timi Dakolo has joined Virgin Emi Records owned by Universal Music Group. He made the announcement on his Instagram page. Timi Dakolo shared a photo showing him shaking hands with Ted Cockle, the Chairman of Virgin EMI Records.

Virgin EMI Records, founded in 2013 through the merger of Mercury Records and Virgin Records, is one of Universal Music UK’s front-line labels.
Top artists signed to Virgin EMI Records include Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lewis Capaldi, Emeli Sande, Eton John, and also a host of other top artistes.
Meanwhile, Timi became a household name in 2007 when he emerged winner of the music competition, Idol West Africa. He has since released hit singles such as “The Vow”, “Wish Me Well”, “Medicine”, and a host of others.
Known as a loving husband and father, Timi doesn’t fail to share intimate photos of his family on Instagram. Now that he is signed to a big record label, we believe he will be working on a new (likely international) album soon.
