Top Tech Trends Of The Week: Zoom, Jeff Bezos, US New Sanctions On Huawei And More

There were reports that Apple could be moving about $40 billion worth of iPhone production to India. The period for this is still vague and you can see the details here. The company also bought a virtual reality company, NextVR in this same week.

 

Speaking about buying companies, Facebook bought GIF company Giphy for $400 million. The company also plans to pay its content moderators a total sum of $52 million for some of the job’s damaging effects.

Epic Games store also crashed this week after the company announced making GTA V free for users for seven days. Meanwhile, to appeal to game enthusiasts, MediaTek announced a new 5G chipset.

 

Analytics claim that Samsung A51 was the single most sold smartphone in the first quarter of 2020. Situations between Huawei and the US seems to not be getting any better. This week, the US made new policies on chips that further frustrates the tech giant’s business in the country. The announcement came a day after Huawei released a new phone that can access Google services.
