Meanwhile, the endorsement deal has caused a tribal war on Twitter. Some Twitter users believe Portable knows nothing about what “Odogwu” means in the first instance and as such he is ill-fitted for the job.

Cubana hapuru onye dika Speed Darlington ghotara ife bu “Odogwu” and rushed to dash Probable 50m for ambassadorship.
Igbo people and their reasoning sometimes.
“Odogwu” is an Igbo expression that means “A man of great esteem. A distinguished man. A valorous man…”

What does Portable understand to be the meaning of Odogwu? Cos the brand alone have volumes to speak about the tribe

He should have used speed darlington. Portable does not even know the meaning of Odogwu and he does not represent Odogwu in any way.

Obi Cubana is Smart. Man wants to break the context that Odogwu Bitters is an Eastern Drink for just the Igbos. Signed the rave of the moment Portable as a Brand Ambassador for a whooping 50m? Smart Smart Move!!!

If you don’t understand the move by Obi Cubana then it’s best you just rest. First ask yourself the grand consumers of such drinks and you’d see where I’m driving at.

Portable gained popularity in December last year after “Zazoo Zeh”, his hit track, with famous rapper Olamide, and popular dancer Poco Lee. The song became a street anthem across Nigeria during the 2021 Christmas holidays.
