On the heels of the release of Burna Boy‘s fifth album, Top American rapper, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has opened up about why he agreed to work as an executive producer on the music project.

Diddy took to Twitter to disclose that working with Burna Boy is a blessing. This is because he had always wanted to connect to the “motherland” (Africa). He noted that the Afro beats singer will be the first African artiste he’ll be collaborating with. The hip-hop mogul went on to urge Africans to uplift and build one another.

Burna boy’s latest album features artistes like Stormzy, Sauti Sol, Naughty By Nature, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and Youssou N’Dour.

Burna may just be on his way to getting another Grammy nod going by the good reviews the album has gotten so far.
