Twitter Blue For Business Lets Companies Identify Employees And Affiliates

Twitter Blue for Business is now rolling out a feature that lets companies identify their employees and affiliated brands on the platform. The feature is currently only available for few businesses and Twitter has said that it will come to more companies in 2023.

This is the latest attempt by the new Twitter 2.0 to get more users to join the premium part of the platform.

“As a Twitter Blue for Business subscriber, a company can link any number of their affiliated individuals, businesses and brands to their account. When they do, affiliated accounts will get a small badge of their parent company’s profile picture next to their blue or gold checkmark,” it further explained in its blog post.

This connection allows businesses create a network of their organisation on Twitter. Imagine journalists, sports team players or movie characters all getting affiliated to the brands they associate with.

It will make it easier to identify who is who and further strengthen the new verification system because it is now possible for more than one person with the same name to be verified with the blue check.

In future, Twitter is looking at additional ways to help help businesses and their affiliates get the most from the platform.
