A social media dashboard application for management of Twitter accounts, TweetDeck, is getting more core Twitter features. They are including native support for polls, emoji and GIFs. These features have been a part of the Twitter default app and desktop version for a while now.

TweetDeck made a poll to ask users of missing features they will like to see incorporated into the app. In another tweet, they revealed that they were testing a new way to tweet on the app using GIFs, emoji and polls. Twitter has agreed to provide support for threads and image tagging to the management app.

TweetDeck also revealed that this is just a test. However, users should expect the new features to arrive and settle into the apps in a few months.

TweetDeck was not exactly restricted from using GIFs in the past. Users could save GIFs on their phones and post them in tweets. They could also create polls on the desktop version of the site since 2017. But Twitter seems to be in a great relationship with TweetDeck by allowing support for the features in the Tweetdeck app.

Twitter acquired TweetDeck in 2011 and has made it retain its stance as an alternative to the traditional Twitter application.
