Grammy Award-winning Musician John Legend performed at THISDAY’s 25th Anniversary on the 20th of January 2020. The event happened at Eko Hotels Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Prior to the event, Nigerians already anticipated him performing somewhere in the country. This is because, earlier, John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen had tweeted that her husband was in Nigeria.

Nigerians have also commended Mr Nduka Obaigbena, Chairman/Editor-in-Chief of the THISDAY Newspaper Group, for bringing John Legend to Nigeria. Although the event was strictly by invitation.
