Cough is a natural reflex of the body through which it tries to eliminate foreign substances and mucus that accumulates the airways.
Cough can become annoying and sometimes life-threatening if left untreated. Meanwhile, the treatment can be done at home, using natural solutions, without resorting to over the counter pills.
Below are two natural treatment for cough.
Onion is very effective in getting rid of cough. You can make and drink onion syrup to treat cough.
Direction:
Chop three large onions and boil them for five minutes in 150 millilitres of water and 100 grams of honey. This remedy should be administered cold, in doses of 3-4 tablespoons per day.
You can also prepare onion tea to get rid of the cough. Crush an onion, boil it with the shell for 10 minutes in 300 millilitres of water and leave it to cool. You can add a few teaspoons of honey. Consume 2 – 3 cups per day.
You can treat the cough with onion and onion wine. It is very easy to prepare. Put in 200 grams of finely chopped onion in half a litre of red or white wine and 100 grams of honey. Allow to macerate and then administer in quantities of 3 to 4 tablespoons per day.

You can treat cough by making a series of inhalations of tea and natural oil. Put 2 liters of boiled water in a large bowl, add a teaspoon of chamomile tea, mint tea, and green tea.
Then put a thyme branch, a few drops of eucalyptus oil, and a tablespoon of sea salt. Cover your head with a towel and inhale for about 15 minutes. Repeat this procedure daily for one week and you will be free from cough.
