Veteran Yoruba film actor John Adewunmi, known in the entertainment world as Tafa Oloyede has passed on.
Late Oloyede died at the age of 69 at his residence in Kajola Osun State on Tuesday 1st February 2022. The Ede, Osun State-born actor, who ventured into acting in 1974, died after a brief illness.
He became famous for featuring in Baba Oyin Adejobi’s “Kootu Asipa” on NTA Ibadan, in the 80s.
The late actor displayed no signs of ill health when he attended the annual general meeting of Bigscreen Entertainment on January 16, in Ibadan.

He was also in high spirits when he appeared on a show on the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) TV on Monday, January 31.
Earlier this year, veteran Yoruba actress, Iyabo Oko returned back to life three hours after she was pronounced dead.
Her daughter, Bisi Aisha, was the first person to announce her mum’s “death” on Instagram on Wednesday 5th January.
“Rest well mummy. May ur soul Rest In Peace mummy”.
However, about three hours later news dropped that she is back to life.
“She moved her hand after being confirmed dead three hours ago. God, we will forever praise your holy name.” Aisha wrote on Instagram
