The reality show was first officially unveiled by CEO Livespot Dare Art Alade who took to his Twitter page on March 14 to write;

“It’s been sleepless nights and intense emotions working on this baby! Presenting the gorgeous, delectable, beautiful, hardworking, independent, ladies of the debut season of The Real House Wives of Lagos!”

The production company followed up with the official trailer of the much-anticipated show.

Featuring Carolyna Hutchings, Iyabo Ojo, Chioma Ikokwu, Toyin Lawani, Laura Ikeji Kanu, and Mariam Adeyemi Timmer RHOL will give a peek into the glamorous lives of these Lagos celebrities and socialites.

Speaking on the show during the official announcement in September 2021, Showmax’s head of content Candice Fangueiro, Showmax’s said;

“The Real Housewives franchise lends itself to localisation and we know our audience is going to love seeing the show reinvented Naija-style. We can’t wait to show the continent – and the world – another side of Lagos, with all the drama, high fashion and luxury you’d expect from The Real Housewives franchise.”
