WhatsApp will soon allow users to send pictures and videos in their highest quality possible, according to a report by WABetaInfo.
These new features are currently in development for the Android app, and three quality options will be available for sending images and videos. The Rumoured options are Auto, Best Quality, and Data saver. Currently, WhatsApp compresses the quality of images and videos uploaded to its messaging platform.
This new update will solve this problem and, even compress videos and pictures if you worry about data caps. WhatsApp has a habit of testing its new updates first for Android and later officially release it for iOS.
This update is not available for the Android beta app and either iOS beta app currently.

WhatsApp recently updated its Android beta app with its wavy video note feature.
A 1X original playback, 1.5X, and 2X speeds are now available for scrubbing through voice notes and audio files. WhatsApp’s Waveform feature replaces the existing voice note design but has been temporarily removed after feedback from testers. Aesthetically, the waveform feature is appealing, but its practicality isn’t.
WhatsApp hopefully will bring back this feature after it refines and fixes it. In a matter of weeks, this will be fixed and be available for the general public to use via an app update. WhatsApp remains a very popular messaging platform and will receive constant updates.
