The gaming console, Nintendo Switch announces the popular WWE 2K Battlegrounds game, with Superstars and Legends of the sport, ahead of 18th September 2020 launch.
Tweeting via a verified company account, Nintendo had posted:

Nintendo had also announced a host of other games along with the WWE game in a video it posted on YouTube today. It named the video, Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase and added that most of the games would be released later in 2020.

Earlier this month, WWE 2K Battlegrounds had revealed some superstars by means of stills from the game. Nintendo’s reveal is much more informative as it shows gameplay (as seen in the video above).
Nintendo Switch had become very popular recently thanks to its Animal Crossing: New Horizons game. It had dominated the top spot on the game’s eShop chart for a long time. However, recent reports reveal that the new Paper Mario: The Origami King game has toppled Animal Crossing: New Horizons from its top spot.
The gaming industry is one of those that greatly benefited from the lockdown restrictions during the pandemic. As we reported, the industry saw a record high-spending in 2020 that it has not witnessed since 2010.
But, it seems WWE 2K Battlegrounds is choosing to launch at a time when lockdown restrictions may have been lifted in some places. Regardless, the gaming franchise is likely to do well as internet fans are showing enthusiasm regarding its announcements.
