Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase event is Microsoft’s fix for the vacuum the E3 2022 cancellation created; here is what it will be about.
Since it now owns both gaming companies, Microsoft aims to use the event as a springboard to greater things. In its statement, the tech firm mentioned its goal of featuring ‘amazing titles’ from the two publishing studios and its other ‘partners around the world.’
Additionally, the event is to include every detail that gaming enthusiasts are interested in, such as games coming soon to the Xbox ecosystem both via the regular consoles or the Game Pass on Xbox and PC.

The event appears to be a one-day affair and will be streamed on Sunday, June 12, at 10 am PT. It will be available in 30 languages, and you can join via the company’s YouTube Channel, Twitch Channels, Twitter Page, Facebook page and TikTok.
It is not yet clear if this event would be an annual occurrence or if it is just a contingency for the absence of E3 2022. Since Microsoft acquired Bethesda for $7.5 billion, this would be the first major event the company is having under the new ownership.
The acquisition itself is a new weapon in Xbox’s aim to overthrow PlayStation’s dominance. Also, Xbox wants to use its library as a lure in promoting its Game Pass business, which is working out quite well, as recent reports of its Cloud Gaming has shown.
