Xbox Game Pass now has 15 million subscribers representing an increase of 50% in just a space of six months. Microsoft had revealed that the service had 10 million subscribers in April 2020.
The Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that costs about $9.99 per month and gives subscribers access to play over 100 Xbox games on their device.
Microsoft has used Xbox as its major weapon in the gaming war over competitors. It has been marketing it more frequently and the reason is not far-fetched. The company wants it to be the go-to service for people who do not want the Xbox console.
Recently, Microsoft has been buying more gaming firms to further increase Xbox Game Pass popularity. For example, it had added xCloud game streaming service to it and just bought ZeniMax Media. By buying ZeniMax, Microsoft can unleash the power of Bathesda Softworks, along with Doom and Fallout studio.

Additionally, Microsoft has been offering new subscribers a first month promo of $1. While the promo is valuable for only the first month, it is clear that the subscribers continue with the service as well.
With the Xbox Game Pass, you can play game across consoles and PCs. Also, you can even play games that are streamed through the cloud on your Android device. The service offers you ways to enjoy Xbox games without a console.
During the second week of September 2020, the service had also announced a new EA Play service, it Tweeted:
IMPORTANT NEWS YOU SHOULD STOP SCROLLING AND READ IT THANKS
Starting later this year, @EA Play will be included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & @XboxGamePassPC!
