Yemi Alade Drops Colourful Visuals For “Give Dem”

Yemi Alade has dropped the visuals for her song “Give Dem”. The song is one of the tracks from her “Woman of Steel” album. This comes not long after Yemi Alade signed with Universal Music in France.

Produced by Krizbeatz the Drummer Boy, the song has hints of Arabesque music infused into it with sharp string instruments playing somewhere in the background.

“Give Dem” is a hype/party song about the one thing Nigerians aspire to the most: enjoyment. In the song and the Clarence Peters-directed music video, Yemi Alade is determined to “give dem” no matter the weather or time of day.

Yemi Alade does what she does best in this video: sing and dance happily while giving the illusion that the song means more than it actually does. Her ability to add an imaginary depth to her image and her music earned her the title of “Mama Africa”.

Yemi Alade’s vast popularity in both Anglophone and Francophone Africa has also earned her a lot of fame. This is undoubtedly one of the things that scored her a deal with a French record label. Good for you, Yemi Alade!
