You should pay attention to Apple’s newly released iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 because of the language it contains as discovered by TechCrunch. Under kernel updates, Apple notes that “a malicious application may be able to elevate privileges,” and under WebKit updates, it notes that “a remote attacker may be able to cause arbitrary code execution”.
The update notes also say, “Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited”. This is Apple for you should update your iOS devices as soon as possible.
It found a security hole in its operating systems and also has evidence that it may have been exploited. The company however didn’t say who may have exploited the security breach or what they may have done with it.

According to Apple’s grave warning, it’s pretty serious. If an application is able to elevate privileges, it means that it now has the ability to do things it’s not supposed to be able to do. In plain terms, a malicious app might have bypassed some of Apple’s security protections.
The WebKit exploit too is pretty serious. It means remote attacker now has the ability to cause arbitrary code execution. In plain terms, an attacker can take control of your phone just from you visiting a website they control.
Although Apple hasn’t provided the full update on what and what was bypassed, you would be better off installing the iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 update as soon as possible.
