In September 2020, Zebra Technologies Corporation announced that it is buying Reflexis Systems, a leading provider of intelligent workforce management. Reflexis also provides execution and communication solutions for organisations in the retail, food service, hospitality and banking industries.
Zebra explains that it had acquired Reflexis Systems as a tool to keep both customers and employees engaged. Its task management tool makes it a valuable project. “For the past 20 years, Reflexis has essentially been conducting real-world market research with the more than 275 brands that leverage its software to understand how best to engage, manage and reward employees,” Zebra writes.
It is important to have this kind of technology on your side as a business owner because the modern workforce is all about dynamically prioritising workflows to help balance labour constraints against operational demands and extract more value from employees.

Thus, the company’s first line of action is to integrate Reflexis ONE intelligent work platform into Zebra’s Intelligent Edge Solutions portfolio. It says that this will ‘deliver immediate value’ to customer business. For example:
Its Task Management tool gives associates a single place to see routine and real-time work assignments. It sends real-time, exception-based alerts to the right users based on role, skills/knowledge and location. Managers can also report on and monitor task completion in real time. They can also use it to conduct focused audits.
It also has a Workforce Management tool that provides simple-to-use interface for scheduling hours against projected traffic demand and task requirements. This tool uses AI to optimise labour scheduling down to 15-minute intervals based on the input criteria. It ensures that scheduling decisions follow labour laws and regulations as well union rules and organisation policies.
