This tweet did not go well with President Muhammadu Buhari Personal Assistant on New Media Bashir Ahmad. Bashir was quick to explain that the virus is not a joke and should not be trivialised.
See his reaction below
Zlatan, as President Buhari stated in his national broadcast on April 13th, ‘this is not a joke, it’s a matter of life and death.’ https://t.co/P1IpHfz7ax

Bashir later responded saying the reason he reacted to Zlatan’s post was because of his status as a celebrity.
I can see some people are angry with my reply to Zlatan’s tweet, which he made a joke out of NCDC’s last night update on #COVID19Nigeria. I didn’t reply him as Zlatan, I replied him as a celebrity, who has hundreds of followers. Again, ‘this whole #COVID19 issue is not a joke.’ pic.twitter.com/qgA8aI2gdB

Presently the NCDC has recorded over 22 death in Nigeria. Abba Kyari, Chief Of Staff to President Buhari died on Saturday 19th April from the virus.
Do you think Zlatan’s tweet was rather insensitive and misleading as a celebrity with followers on social media or it was just for laughs?
